Have you ever had the feeling that everything just seems to happen in a blur and with time passing by so fast, you just can’t seem to get anything done right? Well then it’s time for you to know how to achieve your targets.
The first step to achieving your goals is to know what you want. Your goal should be specific, attainable and time-bound. Relate the core competencies that are needed in achieving your goal, and evaluate whether or not you possess these competencies. In case there are several qualifications that you do not seem to have, do not lose hope; instead, try to invest time in developing yourself in order to obtain the qualities that will help you achieve your goal.
Once your goal is specific and time-bound, the second step is to plan and identify strategies that will enable you to achieve your goal. Write your goals on paper together with the corresponding actions or measures that you are willing to take in order to achieve these goals. Also, write down people, organizations and events that may be essential in the achievement of your goals.
As you can see, knowing how to achieve your targets is just like constructing a map or an invitation letter that contains what, why, when, where and how. You need answers to these essential questions before you do anything that really makes sense to you. People who achieve their goals are people do not only know what they want, they also do their best to find out how to get what they want.
